using import feature surfaces from dxf

DANKO

New member
Hey there - Ive imported surfaces into Pro E from DXF data - however im having trouble using these surfaces - pro e refuses to modify "Import Features". Is there a way to convert them to regular surfaces ?

cheers Dan

you can go thru Maya to convert polygon data to Sub'd data then to Nurbs data. Then you import the nurbs data to Pro/E.

Maya has all three modlers inside her. Polygon - Nurbs - Sub'd

Hi Bart Brejcha,

I would like to purchase the proe training materialsfrom design-engine.

Could you advise me how I can purchase.

We don't really sell those since out training materials are
not meant for individual use. We encourage the training to be mentored or
with an instructor. We all learn ok on our own however we just think
people learn much more in our style of training. We give out our training
materials free in an effort to assert our leadership. I know many are
from outside the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">USA</st1:place></st1:country-region>
and we do our best to make those tutors available free. Plus people tend
to recommend our training since we give those models away free. Plus I
am sure you would come by for a visit if you were in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chicago</st1:place></st1:City>.

This login and password changes often. Enjoy. I will be
working on the Alias tutorials this next couple weeks. And the Surfacing
ones should update a little each month. Trying to put together tutorials
for Pro/CABLE and Mechanism this year so expect those.
