Upgrading from Intralink 3.3 to 3.4

Our company was late in planning to upgrade to PDM/link, and as such we felt a tad rushed. However, with the announcement of extended maintenance on Intralink 3.X, we have decided to postpone the upgrade to PDM/Link and make sure we do it properly.

That said, we are going to upgrading to Intralink 3.4 on our own. Looking at the installation procedure, it is different from the previous upgrades of 3.X (most notably the separate installation of Oracle).

My question is if there are any major items I should be aware of, before upgrading? Anything scary?

Thanks for any and all input.

Intralink 3.4 is fine, allthough we do not use all functions (like release procedures, replication and more). Installation was a b---h until weskipped the OSA and useed the installer on the oracle cd directly. This worked fine. Don't forget to patch though. Also think you have to migrate (=take a dump and import + patch,) cant remember, but the "What's New" and "ReadThis First" docs on ptc.com will give you all those details.

All-in-all, it works fine and as expected for us. (We are 150+ users both on and off site).
