Update Template

Is there a way to refresh the template fo a drawing? We recently changed our drawing template, and have some older drawings that need to be updated to the new standard. The name of the file has not changed, nor has its location. I just can't seem to find a tool that would let me update these drawings to include the changes.

Thanks!

I typically double click the "SIZE: D" in the display area or you can go to File / Page Setup and get the Page Setup popup. Here you'll see the sheet numbers and formats listed. Double click the format for a sheet and then select the same format from the list. When you click "OK", the updated format will come in. It will ask you if you want to replace any tables on that sheet that are part of your format. If the content is driven by parameters you will be ok saying 'yes'. But if the contents are fat fingered, you may want to keep the old table and delete the new table when it comes in (it will be on top of the old one so use the selection filter set to 'table' and query select to delete the appropriate table.

Hopefully someone else will tell me I'm doing it the hard way and I'll gladly learn something else today!

You should not have to do anything unless you change the tables. Tables are copied into the drawing. The rest of the format is just "laid over" (under?) the drawing. So you can change company logos, copyright notes, etc. as long as its not in a table and the drawing will automatically update when you retrieve it. If you do change the tables then you have to reapply the format as telecomguy described.
