<DIV>Hi</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Is it possible to overlap the startpoint in a trajectory mill toolpath?</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I do not see anything is customize or parameters. This is a closed loop I am refering to.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Thank You</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
Yes, you can. If you are following a curve, or a "sketch", just overlap the start and end points. I do not know of a way to overlap it if you are following a surface or an edge.
<DIV>Hi</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I get a error when I try that. It says</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>"For open sections, the start points must be end points"</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>What do I need to change?</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Thank You</DIV>
There ia another way of doing it as well. When you customize your toolpath you can move your start and end point . When you pick start or end you can drag the line with your mouse. It will also give you an option by distance, or a plane.
Try it.You may like it.This way when you sketch you can use a continous loop. I use it a lot and it works great. If you need any help let me know.
<DIV>Hi</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I have a predefined sketch. I select the curve in the trajectory mill sequence it creates the toolpath fine.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Now I want to move the start and or end point to create a overlap. </DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>When I go to customize I do not see start and end I only see that in the main</DIV>
<DIV>window of the trajectory sequence.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Can you give me a better idea for menu picks?</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Thank You</DIV>
In customize highlight Automatic Cut, redefine, from the little menu manager select ends. Then you should get Start and End. Pick either Start or end. You will have the option to select on (default) or specify. Select specify then you would drag the mouse left click to finish, then you wouldspecify the length or offset plane or offset Csys.. Tfhe length you can go positive or negative.
