Toolkit Error -1

Hi

Recently we upgraded to wildefire 3 from wildfire2. Since then we are having some issues. Firstly Wildfire 3 crashes a lot. Half of the times i try saving something, it crashes without saving. Also if we try to change units, it crashes. Couple of days back we got new issue. There are certain part files which we are not able to check back in to commonspace (intralink3.4). it gives Toolkit error -1. I did checked about it and all i came up was tht "-1" was code for general error. Does anyone know about this issue and hopefully a cure for it.

I just figured out that its the part with family tables that are giving this problem. Other parts and new family tables could be checkedin but not old family table parts.

That check-in error sounds like something a trigger might report. I've never seen an Intralink error that says "Toolkit error". Check if you have a trigger installed by going to the Administration dialog box in Intralink. It comes up with the Triggers display. If one or more are listed there, it's likely that you have a check-in trigger that's failing.

With Wildfire 3, make sure your hardware is fully supported. I tested Wildfire 3 early this year using the same hardware we ran Wildfire 2 on, and 3.0 crashed a lot. I found that our graphics card was no longer supported in Wildfire 3. We upgraded the graphics, installed Wildfire 3, and we rarely see a crash (definitely no more frequently than in Wildfire 2).

Thanks Dan!

I did checked the triggers and we have none in the administration dialog box. And as i said earlier it is only the parts with family table that are affected.

Also thanks of letting me know about graphic card issues. I'll ask my IT guy to get some new hardware.
