tool type parameters for solid tooling

New member
does anyone out there know how to change the "tool type" on a solid tool when importing it into your library? for example--i model up a ball cutter, when i import it int the library (by copy) the default "tool type" is milling, i need ithe tool typeto be a "ball_mill" cutter so i can run it in a pencil tracing sequence.

all help would be much appreciated

thanks in advance

i've tried those parameters--when i import it into the library with those parameters it comes in as a parameter based tool, and my solid model doesn't appear.

Some tools do not work correctly, and you need to do
File>New, select the BALL_MILL type, and THEN import the
tool. I looked at one of my ball mills, and I've
actually defined them as type MILLING but they have
corner radii equal to the tool radii, so they are in
essence ball mills.
