Swept blend from reference data

I have an STL. data file that I have imported into ProE. It is of an impeller with an inducer section: a conical portion with blades that travel along it with an altering pitch. (like a progressive pitch screw thread on an ice cream cone!)

I am trying to then create a ProE model from the STL file. I know I cannot reference the STL part, but Iwould like touse the sketcher to draw the outline of the blade profiles at 10, 20, 30...degrees of rotation and then create a blend through the sections. That way I can have a ProE model that matches the STL.geometry.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have tried doing a rotational swept blend, but it requires you draw your sections in a separate windowand then I cannot see the STL. part to reference the geometry.Does anyone have any suggestions on how todo this?

allow_anatomic_features yes

Inset-->advanced-->blend fron file then rename your data as .ibl extension and you will get your desired geometry.

Maybe I should have also mentioned that the STL. data I have is only the feature surface. The STL. surface was created by fasceting point cloud data together.
