start model

Proe comes with a default start model, but you can change it to anything that you want.


To do this create a new part, with no template. Create the features that you want each new part to start with, default datum planes, cdrs, layer definitions, parameters, etc. When finished, save this file in a folder such as "C:\proe\templates", and name it something like "start_part.prt.1". You can also create a "start assy", save it in the same folder, and name it something like "start_assy.asm.1".


Now in your config.pro file, set these options:

Now, whenever you create a new part or assembly, the default features that you created in the startup "part or assembly" will already be there.

Simlple way. when u create a new part, at first u will get 3 datum planes and a coordinae system by default.this is called start part in pro/e. it is there since proe 2000i2. earlier we had to create it manually using datum option
