Specific Volume

I have a sphere:

I want to make a cut:

And end up with a section of a sphere with a specific volume. I want to tell pro/e what volume I want and for it to adjust the depth of the cut to make that volume.

How can you do this in pro/e?

Your method looks a little more difficult, compujas, I'll give it a try though when I have some more time. Thanks!

If you have the behaviorial modeler (BMX) you can create an analysis feature to calculate the volume and use a relation to drive the cut location on the sphere. You could maybe then create a parameter for the part volume required and just enter it and let ProE adjust.


If you are doing this sort of thing once, I suggest using method suggested by Brian_Adkins.
