solid to surface

Dear all

I'm new user of this forum. Pls answer my question anyone who know about this. I wanna know if I can change solid feature to surface fearture or not in Solidworks. In other software I can do it well.

Not that I know of, no.
SolidWorks has features that are solid, and features that are surfaces.

I know Pro/E, Inventor and NX don't make such a distinction. And you can make say an Extrude a solid extrude or a cutting extrude - but this can easily become grayed out or destroy your model down the feature-tree if changed anyway.

SolidWorks does allow surfaces and solids to co-exist in a part file though, so you have full hybrid modeling functionality where you can turn your part into surfaces and then use Knit to turn them back into a solid or multiple solid bodies.
