Smoothing a cylindrical surface

Vandermg

New member
I have cylindrical surface that, due to the curvature of the centerline and my cross-sectional diameter, has little rinkles. I am trying to minimize the imperfections in the surface so that they won't interfer with a fluid analysis.

Is it possible to smooth a surface?

Thanks

can't you attach your file to this post? I advice you that as most of topics get answered if they are supported by attachments.

I think you should redefine your centerline.

Build it up merely as a spline in stead of several entities.

Show the curvature, reduce the most points and drag the control points to get a smooth curvature line.

You can also increase your shade quality...!
