slow to rotate in shade format

When I view the model in shade format, the model is very slow to rotate and pan. When I view the model in wireframe format is much fast. Is there any variable in configuration file that solution the problem?. The CPU caracteristic are: P4 2.8Ghz - 1G RAM - CARD VIDEO 64MB. I work in WF2.

What exactly video card?, what model?
My guess is that you have poorly graphic card, this is the reason why is slow panning and zooming in shaded mode.
Try to update newest drivers, but if this doesn't help, you should change your graphic card.

A lot of people forget to install the drivers for the motherboard chipset which regulates the communication between the graphics card and the rest of the system. Forgetting those kills the performance badly.
