sheet metal thichness

This is my component I now want to add thickness
to it... I am not sure what went wrong... I am not able
to go any further.

Please help!!

you've created a 3d sketch, so you won't be able to extrude.

if you create the part in sheet metal, and then add a bend on each end, this will work.

I don't know what version you are working with wf2, 3 or 4, so I can't create a new file for you.

I also had trouble with your download, so I'll reupload it for anybody having trouble.

I am using WF2, but the thing is although i have been
using Pro E for the last 4 years I have never worked on
Sheet Metal...

so I wasnt sure how to proceed,

My idea was to create a surface and thicken it... but
the surface wont add to it...

Please help me..
 
new part > sheetmetal

create main flat section >select an edge, add a bend. define the bend.

I suggest you spend a while going thru whatever tutorials you can find
regarding both surface b-rep modeling and sheetmetal modeling to get a
handle on the basics.
