Running 2001 on WF3 License

Good morning all....


We upgraded to WF recently, Installing WF3 FlexLM on our netrwork. We where told that we could run 2001 using this license ( which we need as sister companies still use 2001 ).


Unfortunately weve hit a problem trying to start up 2001 using the WF3 license. It is seeing the license as illeagle !!? Or hacked !!? We have approached both the reseller who sold us the license, and PTC, niether of whom have a clue !!

..


If anyone has seen this error, or have any idea on how to resolve the issue, plz give me a shout..

did you do an upgrade of flexlm? We have experienced problems with this...you must uninstall FlexLM and then install the WF 3 FlexNet.

Also which of the two license files did you install? There are two versions in your email and only one is backward compatible.

We used the FlexLM that came with WF3, also we used the standard file, not the one for borrowing..

We have looked at all these options, but still no idea on what the problem is..

Thanx caldwell... looks like im gonna have to keep guessing !!

it might be a stupid question ... but have you tried uninstallling and reinstalling?

What build of 2001 are you using. If I remember, only certain builds will work with the license simplification that is required for the WF3 licenses.
