Roller Chain to follow a curve.

Hey, I'm trying to make a roller chain follow a curve. I've done some searching here but the explenations are a bit to advanced.

Here is a piece of the chain that I would like to pattern around a curve.

And here is my curve.
When I try to pattern it, the chain doesn't follow the curve around the curved part.
Is this the way to do it or should I try something else?

Any help is greatly appretiated! Thanks
