Retrieval time is very slow

This has been going on for some time now, but today is especially bad. To open an assembly, with 5 parts, today is taking almost 10 minutes. I'm just curious, since I have searched the forums, that noone else has problems like this. We don't use Intralink and all files reside on a server. All hardware, from what I've seen, is pro/e appoved. Has anyone seen this and be able to fix it with just a few IT fixes? 5 users all on same PCs which are about 2 months old, and everybody is having this problem today, but some have taken an hour to retrieve larger assemblies. I'll also say it isn't consistent.

Since all the PC's started having this problem at once I would say it has to be a problem with your server or network.
