Render better curvy letters -- extrude shows segments instead of smooth curve

This is my issue: how can I get rid of the segments showing on the letter S (make it look like the letter N beside it)? Thank you, Colin.

Thank you very much, that did it, the TT (TrueType?) fonts did it, all of them render smooth and with no rough edges. Many thanks again!!
