Ramp Error

Has anyone had this happen before? After setting up sequences for a part, I had to change the position of Machine zero. After changing it, the ramp entry for a surface mill sequence reversed. Instead of ramping down to Z zero, it plunged into the part and ramped up to Z zero, and then started cutting.

There's quite few things to look at... did you use any kind of Approach for this sequence? Build Cuts? There must be something in there that causes the problem; would it be possible for you to post it in here?

Thanks for replying. I can't post it, but I'll describe the sequence. I used surface milling with a helical cut type, and a ramp approach. After changing the position of part zero, the error occurred. Also, when I removed the ramp approach and set it up again, using a slightly different ramp angle, it worked. Do you think the ramp angle could have caused this problem?
