Quick Question in need of a Quick Answer

I'm aware of the hidden config.pro option enable_acis_interface. Question #1 - is appears that this save a copy option is only available in part mode, not assembly mode. Just looking to verify that is, in fact, true and I'm not missing something here.



Second question - does anyone have any experience with the Inventor save a copy selection (*.iv)? Good output? Bad? Is it limited to working with onlycertain versions of Inventor.



Were using Pro/E 2001, build 2003400.

Keep in mind that inventor files created by Pro/E (*.iv) are not related to Autodesk's Inventor product.



Open Inventor was the precursor to VRML and was created (I believe) at SGI. This is a 3-D tesselated solid format kind of like STL and VRML.
