Sounds like you're using the wrong design firm. A firm that doesn't deliver in a format that you can use isn't serving your needs well. We see it as our responsibility to use your software and your start parts, templates and standards wherever possible.

Interestingly, here the designers that know both Pro/E and Saladworks prefer Pro/E for better capability and control. But, our preferences are secondary to the clients needs.

I have found that the solidworks cheerleaders.... I run solidworks better than them.Go figure?
