I am looking for a better way to generate process documents from within ProE as they relate to manufacturing.
It would be nice to be able to output the data (and format) provided by the process manager to a drawing. I have been unable to find information regarding doing this.
I have read the PTC process document PDF. However, the data they are inserting into the drawing is more process "step" related. I am looking to output TOOLING information:
Tool #
Speed & feed
Tool description
Etc
Pretty much the same stuff I currently display in the process manager. I can't find system parameters to display this type of info in a drawing. Am I missing something? (new user so very possible).
Is anyone using Vericut to generate process documents? From what I saw @ IMTS this looked pretty good. Only thing the demonstrator couldn't do was to display / output information regarding program 0.
Being able to create a drawing that can have another sheet attached with all the tooling information would be ideal. An edrawing can be created from that quickly and edrawings viewer is free for anyone.
Sorry for the long post and lack of good formating. Still getting the hang of it.
Best regards,
Sean
