Pro/E Crash when adding drawing views

I have an assembly created that contains 6 simplified reps. When I ADD/SET REP to my drawing PRO/E crashes as soon as I click insert general view. It will let me create a view of the master rep but not on any of the simplified reps.

I'm using PRO/E WF5.0 any help would be greatly appriciated.

Probably not much help, but when I've experienced crashes like you describe it is related to the drivers for the graphics card.

I was able to get to many different stages of placing a view but it would still crash as some point. This morning at work I rebuilt the assembly from scrach and did a new drawing and everything works fine now. I'm assuming my .asm file was corrupt.

What you could have done was dragged the 'Insert' menu all the way to the start of the model tree and added a view and then incrementally resumed the model. This would have shown you where the problem was.

Would be nice if Pro/E would just tell me there was a problem insead of crashing as soon as I clicked to insert a veiw. Thanks for the advise. Will use in the future.

If Pro/E knew there was a problem it would be able to sort it out wouldn't it? I got asked the question why doesn't it know which references it's lost some time ago (missing references failure). If it knew which references it had lost they wouldn't have been lost would they?!
