Printing multiple sheets...

New member
Is there a way to make the Pro E print dialog default to "All Sheets" when printing a multiple sheet drawing like other normal windows programs? I get burned over and over again when I print out a full packet and there's just one part in there that has two sheets and they guys on the shop floor are missing a sheet. Then I have to come in here, go through all the Windchill monkey motion it takes to open one stupid file to print the missing sheet.

Thanks.

After selecting "print" command, select the "All Sheets" button, then click on the "configure" button.Make the changes you want, if any, then at the bottom of this window, click "save". It will create .pcf file in your current directory. You can open the file and make sure "plot_sheets all" is in the list. It shows up near the end of the list on mine.

Very nice! Thanks! The only catch is that now the current sheet option is greyed out. So, if I want to only print one sheet I don't think I can. But I don't care. I'd rather waste paper than waste time having to go back and reprint drawings where I forgot to print the additional sheets.

Create one .pcf file for all sheets and another for current sheet. In the Print window you can selet the file you want.

make the line "plot_sheets all default" instead. Then you will have the option to pick current .

I created the file, and named it "print_all.pcf" but in the dialog box that you show above, it does not have the name that I gave it, but instead has two instances of "POSTSCRIPT".

In the configuration file you can give it a printer name and this is shown in the selection list, not the file name.

That works, thanks!!

Actually, it's the button name that has to be changed.

HelloFriends,

How do I change the page size in pro/e drawing formats? I would also like to know if I can directly print all the sheets ( of variable sizes )of a drawing file with ALL option in printing dialog box. Thanks in advance.

Changing page size:
You can change the format for each page induvidually. For different sizes you need different formats. But from my point of view it is not recommendable to use different sizes.
Pay attention with several drawing models: The entries in the title block are taken from the model which is active while changing the format.
I can't see a way to print all sheets in different sizes.
