printing and pen

Hi all,

I think this topic has been discussed but now I need a summary about it. It happend to me that somehow the line thickness of printed drawings went wrong. This has been eliminated by one of my colleges but I want to know how.
What settings in option affect the thickness? If I change something in the view -> display settings -> system colors table, will it change the thickness? If yes, which one?
I was told that the key is our big KIP 3000 printer because its setting is affected by the pentable. The another laser printer (canon lpb-2000) is not so important because it is working in different way. Why? I do not share his opinion.
I am using pro/ENGINEER Wf 2, date code m270.
I would be interested in anything concerning this topic. Thanks for all your answers.

Don't change your drawing or system colors!

You can set up multiple pen table files, one for each printer. You need to make printer config files first, these can call the correct pent table file. I use a mapkey to make sure the datums are off, the zoom is reset and then the plotter is called.
