I am looking for a post processor to program a VMC/Fanuc
with a right angle head loaded in the spindle. I have
tried everything I know with a standard processor with
no luck.
not sure if this helps but here's what i did. it's been a while back (using pro/man) but what i did was rotate the cys such that the tool was 90 degrees to the workpiece. i modeled the tool holder to check for collisions as we were machining inside a box. as you know pro/man uses the cys z azis for tool orientation so the software didn't know the difference. we had campost at the time and icam helped us develope the post for our specific machine. the cys rotation worked like a charm though.
