pin follow track in assem

Hi all - I have an assembly with a metal bracket that has a track cut in it and a pin that runs thru the track. How can I constrain the upper pin in the pic to follow the track when I move the bottom pin to the right. I have tried point on surf and made a surface that follows the track but it is a 2 piece surf and will only allow one part of the surf to be picked. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

krow72,

what you need is a trace curve to produce a path for a datum point or cys, if you have that ability(mdx?) you can do a motion analysis and build it. in this case, you can draw it yourself and have the pin follow the curve and not the surface.

I would look into that...

cheers,

M

M - Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I do not have mdx

. I can get around it by editing the surface the point lies on. Extra steps but it works.
