I am trying to import a pdf file into wildfire. I downloaded the illistrator and saved as a ".AI". When I try to open it the ".AI" is in the drop down menu. I open the file and it gives me an error "can not construct part with geometry"? WTF.
The AI file has got to be a vector which I believe means that the original PDF needs to be a vector also. Apparently, some PDF's are vectors and some are rasters. There's a way to tell the difference but I never really understood it. Your best bet is to convert that PDF to a DXF. There are some programs out there that canaccomplish this, but the one I like is Ghostscript's GSview.
