open .tap directly

Hi all:

Let me ask you all one question

How could I could I open .tap file as soon as I post it, without exploring or opening the working directory in windows.(like master cam)

It is possible to write macro to call outside of gpost to write .bat file and launch .tap files it is not easy but it is possible.


It took me about 3 months till I got it correct!

I found it much easier to create a mapkey that opens an OS script. Since Gpost and PTC have decided not to offer the option for viewing the file after posting.


The scriptusedin the mapkeyis write.exe. This will open WordPad.


Then create yourown icon and place it into the toolbar. Not as fast as creating a special fil macro but still works fine.

It is new information to me..., but seems not directly open the .tap file.

Since I always work in different working directories according to our project ID or Job order number

it will open the application you call...such as notepad or wordpad


the application doesn't know what you are doing with proe, but it should help with thefolder surfing

Hy all


As I do this, just after completion of your mcd file, open system window and type <your mcd file name.tap> if it not works, type write or notepad then a space and your file name.tap. Window will open it in notepad or wordpad.
