Hi,

I am taking proe wf4 at a community college and I use a student version.

At my work I have a normal licence and I would like to practice after work.

Can anyone tell me if there is possibility to open a student version file on a commercial one?

Sure you can share your CAD data between Student & Professional.

Just do a 'Save As' and select STEP file.

You will have to do a 'Insert' 'SharedData' 'From File' and select the STEP file.

This allows you to take your home project files to work and add more cuts or protrusions to them and then you can do another 'Save As' and take them home and 'Insert' them again.

Through this iterative process, you can figure out your design and once it is figured out, then you can build a new file from scratch.
