Normal cut through bend surface

Hi


I would like this cut to be a normal to the surface - as when you do it in sheetmetal mode. I know I could do my part in sheet metal but I am getting stubborn. I tried with surface stunts - no good.2010-09-08_234712_FP2-32.rar

I don't understand, from your pic, how to wish the cut to be. Is the light blue surface ? Or is the bottom white surface ?
Anyway, if you wish a NORMAL CUT on the "Surface to do normal cut", you can put the sketch for EXTRUDE CUT FEATURE in this surface. Select the THRUE ALL option in the feature manager and you obtain a NORMAL CUT (the direction of cutting is perpendicular to the sketch plane).
If this is not a help for you, try to explain better your problem.

No matter where your sketch is for the cut, there should be a pull-down menu at the top of the cut-extrude feature to select the "From" surface. Here's a screenshot from my SW09 interface:

Just make sure the sketch can be projected without error to any of the geometry other than "sketch plane".
