NC Assembly Units setting

Hello,

We have recently changed from 2001 to WF2. I am slowly adapting to the differant layout, but i am having trouble with NC assembly units. When ever i create an NC assembly the parts remain in mm but the units in this environment seem to be in inches. When i create anoffset plane for example, its setting at 2 inches away, not 2 mm.. I have checked all my options in the option file and cannot find one specifically for unit settings in NC assembly !!

I really dont want to have to manually change these units evry time i enter the machining environment !!

Is this unit setting a hidden one, or am i looking in the wrong place ??

TIA

SoTaz,where did you find it? We are making the same switch (2001 to WF2) in a couple weeks. I might be lost also. Anything else I should look out for?

Hi eddie,

I didnt realise that NC has a "start-part". Similar to what u would use in 2001 to base your part files, you now have to select a start .mfg for NC.

Its found in the templates folder where WF2 is loaded.

Good luck with the change.. If you need more detailed info, PM me and i will send you my email address.

Regards,

Taz
