What does that message mean when I open a drawing or a FORMAT

"Retrieved object was previously saved with display."

Exactly what it says. The display you are seeing is how the drawing looked when it was saved. If the model has been changed since the drawing was saved you will have to update the drawing views.

Thank you doc

Effectively it is simple. I thought that by opening the drawing itwasupdated automaticlay and reflected the model. It seem that is not the case. Does it mean so that the rtetreiving time is shorter than it would be if the process of opening a large drawing included automatic updating .And is there a configuration file that update automaticly at the opening?

Thx again.

PTC started saving the drawings with geometry to speed up retrival, it also made previewing possible.

auto_regen_views
Note: When you regenerate a parent view, its child views do not automatically regenerate; you must individually select each view on the drawing, including detail views. Whenever you save changes to the model, the system displays them on the drawing the next time that you retrieve it, regardless of whether you regenerated the drawing views.
