Mechanical Desktop into Pro/ENGINEER

Does anyone know if there is a way of getting mechincal desktop files into proe without having to save as a iges or step.


I would like to be able to get the model history aswell. I notice Solidworks have a plug in for this.


Any feedback would be appreciated.

There are a few third party translation programs like CAD-Feature which claim to translate Inventor files directly. No direct experience with these, soory. Step or iges has been my route in the past.
