mapkey

what sequence of letters we have to use to activate the mapkey "!NEW" ofcourse its not the just same letters seq

If you have assigned those letters in that sequence as ur mapkey, then that is what u need to type for the mapped sequence to activate.. We find it easier to assign mapped sequences to just 1 button activations. (e.g. to save a part we just press F6)...

TINAG

MAY BE YOU KNOW THAT $F1 IS ACTIVATE BY "$ F 1" IT ACTIVATES BY FUNCTION KEY "F1" THERE IS NO NEED OF TYPING $ SIGN THERE

Maybe im not understanding what you are asking... No there is no need to type the $ sign first. We do have some that use more than one letter for example "eis" which will erase all in session. We just type "eis" and that's it..

OK TINAG

TRY THIS ONE MAKE A MAPKEY "!NEW" AND TRY TO USE IT(IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO USE IT

Hi.. tried it n it works fine.. have you changed any of your config settings, or is pro reading a config which does not contain the mapkey info for that particular sequence ?

I just used sequence !NEW to create a new file and worked with no probs..

Check in your "Utilities, Options" to see if pro is seeing this mapkey.. if not you may have to re-record the mapkey and save it to your default config ( note : never save to the current session config as when you shut pro down you wil lose the mapkey setting ).
