License extensions

Hi guys,
I've got a small problem. I've been told different things when it comes to license extensions. I have a client with 10 language extensions and a number of regular licenses for pro/e. PTC has told me that the license extensions are not "true" licenses. I can't seem to find any docs or help anywhere to tell me otherwise. If someone pulls an extension, they also pull a regular license. Is this correct or have I messed up in the setup?

It is correct. A extension is a "adon" to a basic license. EX:


Foundation advantage + AAX


It si not possible to use a extension without a basic (like Foundation advantage)license.

I new I had it right, I solved the problem right after I posted this. Users were pulling the wrong licenses, so it's all good now
