Intralink Manual Configuration Problems

Hi,

I am trying to manually configure Intralink 3.4 F001 Data server in my desktop running Winxp SP2.

Already i am running another Intralink 3.4 build M010 in my authentication server which is Windows 2000 server.

But i would like to test some toolkit applications in3.4 F001, so i am running it in my desktop.

I have installed Oracle(10G,bcoz my other non proe application uses this version).

I declared all the required environmental variables like SID, sys passwd, data & file server password.

when i give the command

install_ilink ALL ilnk INTRALINK.

I get errors in Listener configuration stages.

Error screen says.

Creation of Database Complete.

Listener startup failed.

Listener didnt start successfully or it may already be running.

Can anyone help to rectify this.

I endup with same error , even if i give individual commands instead of using ALL format.

(i get errors in SYSPOOL & SCHEMA STAGES).

(I think this is not problem with the version of oracle as the database creation stage is successful)

help me.

I'm pretty sure you need to use Oracle 9.2.x for Intralink 3.4. I don't think you can use 10.

Yes Ilink 3,4 use oracle 9,2.

I would recommend you to use vmware server to do the installation in a vm machine. This way it will not interfear with other software. http://www.vmware.com/products/server/And if you do someting wrong you just go back to a snapshot, and you do not have to redo all. You can use the free version or bye wmware workstation. In the workstation version you have a lot of great tools.
