Incoming Inspection

If I have a machined part and geometry of the part is based on G2curve (no dim available for the shape, only overall dim), how can I specify incoming inspection of the part has to be done?

Gage?

I wonder if anybody has an experience intaskslike that.

Thanks,

if i'm following you correctly...

if you have a proe model ..create surface on what you want to measure a datum plane or a flat surface...then create curve intersect... put some points on the curve and use those locations to beep with your cmm

I pretty sure that you can import the geometry and use it to make a "new" solid part in pro. It will allow you to use any dimensions that you want.

If you have the Verify module you can also create a Verify assembly from the original part and the measuring points from your CMM. Pro/E will then give you a coloured view which indicates whether the points are within the specified tolerance (tolerance that is applied on the CAD-model)..
