I need help

I just got the student edition of Pro E and just put it on my laptop but there seems to be some problems. i can't seem to dimension anything. i try clicking on lines to change them but no go. i am having probs just clicking on things. i had the same probs with the free edition. but at my school where they have pro E student i can do everything easily. could there be a prob with my comp or do you think im not installing it correclty or do i need to edit some of the prefrences?????

Ima go out on a limb and assume you not seeing dimensions while in sketcher mode. If so, for some dumb a&& reason, PTC decided that at some point IN SKETCHER MODE, it would be necessary to turn off dimensions. Long story short, there is an icon with an eyeball right below a dimensions. Click that at ur leisure.
