I don’t like the File Manager in WF3

Coming from 2001 directly to WF3, I'm having some, ummm, reservations. Don't you think that the "File Manager" in WF3 is slow, annoying and plain ugly to look at?
It takes forever to load and operate comparing to File->Open and such.

Is there any setting to turn it off altogether?

I work in ProE one and a half year and I'm very disappointed.
So unpractical program with many many crashes, so many time I just wasteing my time, some times time go on and go on, but nothing benefit from mfg. Yes everytging is slow, you need infinity hardware resurces that you can program something seriously. I worked in WF2 too, so many things which were worked in wf2 are "damaged" now. Interface is terrible, just look around you for example Cimatron E, UG NX,...it's many better cams in market...

It's under the "Folder Browser" tab in the Tree window. It's the first thing that pops up when WF starts up.
