how to unbend

I created a surface from boundaries and then i created unattached wall using offset option.Now if i try to unbend>regular and pick one of the edge as fixed geom it says Inappropriate geometry.


I tried another method using deformation area but it did not work.

you can use flatten quilt command for this very simply problem.
