How To Replace a Component by New Copy?

Interactively I can replace a component by new copy. I am trying to find a toolkit function for that feature.


I have a model with multiple instances of the same model part file. I need to replaceone of themby a new copy that can be modified independent of the others.


ProMdlRename changes the part file for all instances. Is there a way to replace/renamejust one?

PTC confirmed there is no Pro/TOOLKIT function for this.
