how to rename datum points

hi All


I Was creating skeleton model where i have to create a number of datum points.


which when appears on model are very confusing. i tried to rename them but found no option for this.( entire feature can be renamed in model tree, but the points cannot be renamed,default name PNT1 PNT2 PNT3 etc.)


suppose there are 3 or 4 points in one feature and i want to rename them according to there distance like PNTA30, PNT_B45 with in the same feature.


Can any one tell how this can be done?

in the datum point tool, right click menu on the point name
and select rename

i dont want to rename the feature (in model tree) i want to rename the points( in model ) in one feature there are 3 or 4 points.

yeah, on sketched points it will be a little different than
the "normal" datum point tool with multiple points.

For that you can go to edit->setup->name->other and select
the point from your sketched points feature
