how to make a rack + pinion move(motion)

I am having trouble having my rack and pinion move along each other. IF anyone has ever did that before using pro-mechianca motion that would be great to help me.....


I want my rack to move up and down when the bar is pulled which is attached to the pinion shaft in this picutre below...

Try to use cam connections - each rack tooth with the corresponding gear tooth. It should work.

I did use cam connect. Did not work. I need a tutorial to figure it out in this case?
