Hole Notes display Tolerance WF2

New member
Hi

I have the following text

&METRIC_SIZE DRILL DEPTH &DRILL_DEPTH[.1]
&THREAD_DEPTH[.1] DEEP MIN FULL THREAD

Which displays

"M4x.7 DRILL DEPTH 9.9.

7.9 DEEP MIN FULL THREAD"

How would I add the tolerance "+1-0" to the "&DRILL_DEPTH" & "&THREAD_DEPTH"

So the note displays

"M4x.7 DRILL DEPTH 9.9 +1-0

7.9+1-0 DEEP MIN FULL THREAD"

I no I could edit the note manually but I want the correcttolerance parameter

to be added to the note automatically.

Thanks

Geoff

Select the hole feature in the model, RMB andEdit. Select the drill depth dimension, RMB and select properties. Under the Dimension text tab change the name to DRILL_DEPTH and under Properties set the tolerance mode. Do the same for the thread depth. Zooming in/out with the mouse will cause the note to update on screen.

Ok thanks I have tried that now the annotaion in the model is as follows.

&METRIC_SIZE DRILL DEPTH {2:&DRILL_DEPTH}[.2][.1]
{4:&THREAD_DEPTH}[.2][.1] DEEP MIN FULL THREAD

Which displays

So I'll have to edit the annotation again, seems a bit long winded.

The idea is I create a threaded holeright click the anotation and choose my own formated note file. Using this method I would have to add the "drill_depth"name to every threaded hole i do.

Thanks

Geoff
