Ok so i have this "drum" that i need to add dimples to the OD on. I can not seam to get them? I tried to add them after the part was punched from flat state to the drum shape, but it failed out every time. But i added them above the drum punch feature and when that feature is created the dimples are lost?

Here is what i want.
(this is all solid modeling no Sheetmetal modual used)

create whole part in sheetmetal.
why dont you add dimple by creating punch and using sheetmetal feature.
or
could you share part file of whatever u created in sheetmetal. So, anyone can help.

I did create the whole part is SM.

I tried to add that dimple from the inside to force the metal up and it fails?

Here is my model tree

How do i share the model?

back-up model, supress all feature, zip it and attach here with last option(just like save button)

Model tree looks fine.
U using punch or die method?
are you selecting base & seed faces correctly if die method?

Punch method.

I don't see a option to attach the file? Maybe i don't have enough posts? s_pme20 PM me you email address and i will send you the file.

Thanks
Ken

File upload icon is the floppy disk at top right. ie. "(just like save button)"

Side Note: When are they going to change that to a picture of a cloud? Nobody uses 3.5" floppies anymore...

Now how in the %^&*()_ did you get that in the diameter? I've tried many times a few different ways to get that to work, but EVERY time it failed out on me? How did you get it in there?

Thanks again

Maybe you are using a different version than i am? Im using Wildfire 4.0 build M100. What version and build are you using?

Thanks

%^&*()_ ???
