is there a way to create an area cross section without hatch lines?

The quickest way is too select the area cross hatching right click and select properties. Select spacing from the hatching menu and value. enter a large number until there are no lines.

if its a assembly u can do one thing select the area and click exclude component so that the hatching dissepers.
