flexible model

I have searched high and
low and cannot find an answer to this.

Is it possible to model a
flexible item in SolidWorks? ie. a flex circuit board, or a rope.
Establish the constraints on either end and allow the middle to slack?

Not that I am aware of. You could give the appearance of slack using the bend tool it gives some pretty god controll over deforming a part.
Nothing like a rope or string though. I am pretty versed in SW though I would love for someone to give an exampel or show one of htis being possible.

If you set it up to be sectional it could bend at the sections in an assembly though this would work better for curcuit bords than rope.
