Fleixble sub-assemblies

I have a top level assembly that is made up of 3 sub-assemblies that themselves have sub-assemblies within. Basically I have 3 frame sub-assemblies (configurable; 2 are config "end" which have the hinge subs attached, and one"default) connected. I mate the three sections together and can set one of them to solve as flexible but when I try to set either of the other two sub-assemblies as flexible I get a slew of mating errors. Any ideas what wrong? I have SW2007 SP0.0

Verify if each assembly (at every level) work properly.
Also, verify if each sub-assembly (at every level) is flexible.

Mate the sub-assembly using parts surfaces, axes and so on, like in real life.
DO NOT use default planes of SW to mate sub-assembly one to other.
