File Problem..why does it not open???

I take classes in pro E at school on manufacturing. I
copied the files to use on my laptop to work with at
home but somehow, the file does not open on my own
laptop.

I have a professional version and my college has the
educational version. Why should this problem of compatibility occur. Does anyone have any solution, as i
spend more time on my pc than at college or using any of
schools computer

The files between Student, Try-out, and Commercial
versions are incompatible. I am unaware of any
solution.
