I have a top level assembly that is a family table with four instances. I also have an interchange group two levels down from the top level. Is there anyway to control which part is showing in the interchange group from the top level family table??
This fix would require you have Advanced Assembly extension.
Try adding a string parameter to the top assembly and then add it to the family table. Give a unique value to each instance in the family table for the created parameter.
Drive the parameter down to the target assembly using execute statements in Pro/Program. You will need to add the parameter to the target assembly as well as all the sub assemblies you will need to pass through to get to your interchange group.
